International Women's Day!
This past Friday was International Women's Day.
I celebrated by eating pizza and cookies, accidentally double booking experiments, and hosting a wiki edit-a-thon for women scientists. Yay!
I've always been lucky to be surrounded by highly motivated women. I've had great examples of women who get stuff done my entire life and I hope I can be an example of that for other girls and women around me.
I'm truly grateful to the awesome ladies I've met in London. My PhD would be a completely different experience if it weren't for them. Because we're in STEM, it can sometimes be difficult to get a group of us together, but when we do get a chance to meet up, it brightens my whole day.
